Seminar on "Big Data Analytics" organized at Sagar Institute of Technology,Chevella.

Sagar Institute of Technology (SITECH) in association with Hewlett-Packard Enterprise India Limited and StartupCuration.com organized a one day seminar on “Big Data Analytics” on 7th October 2015 at Sagar campus, Chevella. The seminar was focused on the opportunities forunder-graduates and graduates in the emerging field, Big Data Analytics.

The objective of the seminar was to bring awareness amongst students and to update them about the high demand for Big Data Analytics. In 2012, Gartner’s report forecasted that there will bea huge demand of 4.4 million IT jobs in Big Data Analytics,out of which 1.9 million jobs might be available in the U.S.Students from various Universities and Colleges participated enthusiastically in the session.

Dr. K. M. Lakshmana Rao, Professor and Head, Department of Civil Engineering, JNTUH, Chief Guest of the program spoke about the applications of Big Data Analytics in various engineering fields. Dr. P.V. Krishna Murthy, Principal, SITECH, gave the welcome address. Mrs. W. Malathi, Secretary, Sagar Group of Institutions addressed the audience about the objective of conducting this program.

Dr.K.M.Doraiswamy, Dean, Sagar Group of Institutions introduced the concept of Big Data Analytics. Mr. MangalamSinghania, Head, Asia Pacific and Japan, HP Software Education Initiatives, spoke about the applications of Big Data Analytics, its demand and role of H.P in Big Data Analytics applications. Mr. Krishnan Vaidhyanathan, Founder &CEO, ETRAIN INDIA spoke about the opportunities for freshers & students in Big Data Analytics.

The Co-founders of StartupCuration.com clarified the queries of Participants in the seminar. Students of Mechanical and Civil wanted to know whether they can also take up Big Data Analytic Course and Dr. K.M.Doraiswamy clarified that a bridge course will be organized for them before the commencement of Big Data Analytic Course. The program was concluded with vote of thanks by Mr. B. Rajesh, Co-Ordinator of the program.
